OC Waxing is going Bare

Hi Friends!
Well, this announcement feels like Christmas morning to me.
Since opening OC Waxing’s doors in 2008, I was hell-bent on doing one thing and being the best at it. With our growth to 5 salons in the past 14 years, we’ve done a pretty great job at offering Orange County the best in waxing services.

​Well, when 2020 came around, I had an abundant amount of time to sit….and think…..so that’s exactly what I did.

Most humans want some type of hair removal, and not everyone wants it by way of waxing. So, why not offer it all?

​With this thought, the vision of OC Waxing was expanded and the journey began to switch our entire brand to a Medical Spa offering waxing, sugaring and laser hair removal options.

Our new name: Bare Waxing and Laser accurately fits this new vision. While the name change comes with plans to expand outside of the OC, we will never lose our Core Values or vibe. OC Waxing began in a tiny back room inside of a pilates studio, and Bare Waxing and Laser will always have that history and heart at its core.
I gave you OC Waxing for 14 years, now I’m beyond excited to give you Bare Waxing and Laser for the next 14.

I’m sure there’s more questions, so let me try and answer some here for you:

Q:
Laser is Medical. How are you doing that?
A:
I am the Founder, and I have acquired a Medical Director named Dr. Bernardi to oversee all Medical aspects of this Practice.

Q:
Isn’t laser going to compete with waxing and sugaring?
A:
4.6 million people last year got waxed. 4.4 million people got laser. We’re expanding our client base and creating a more inclusive hair removal business. Not everyone who gets waxed gets laser, and visa versa.

Q:
Did you sell the business?
A:
No way. This is my baby! I know services and name changes can seem odd. But I got big plans for Bare and these changes will help us get there.

Q:
Why do you only have laser machines at Huntington, Costa Mesa and Mission Viejo?
A:
Honestly, this is new and we’re gonna grow organically. It’s a one-woman show here and with no partners, investors or loans, we are gonna grow this bad-boy like we always have: with intention and great service. I know we will be successful so my hopes are to add lasers to Irvine and Laguna Niguel by end of 2023.

Q:
Who is doing the laser hair removal?
A:
We are only hiring the best nurses who have experience. Our current Nurse Practitioners have been working with laser hair removal machines for over 10 years, so you’re in great hands.

Q:
Ok, so what’s sugaring all about?
A:
Sugaring is a natural paste made of sugar, lemon and water that is spread onto the skin and removed in a “yanking” motion similar to waxing. It’s simply a different technique that some clients prefer. But generally speaking, it is vey similar to waxing. Sugaring will be joining our menu in Spring 2023.

Q:
When does all of this begin?
A:
Our official name switch will happen in January of 2023. Branding changes take time, so please be patient with this change. You may pre-book your laser services now, but our Laser services will begin January 2023.
